The river Rhine, being the longest river in Germany, coming from Switzerland, is flowing from the south to the north until it reaches Rotterdam in the Netherlands, where it join's the north sea.
Only once is the river Rhine changing direction towards the west and that is at Mainz/Wiesbaden, after 35 km at the height of Rüdesheim it changes back towards the north. Between those points the beautiful Rheingau can be found with its south facing hills. Here one of the best German Riesling wines are grown.

The family business is already producing wine in the 3rd generation. Like Josef Becker himself he grows his wine full of character and straightforward, his motto being quality not quantity. The "red one" isn't coming out of the wooden barrel under less then 2 years.

Gourmet critics from within the country as well as from abroad are full of praise for their quality.
